Void Runner

Void Runner is a fast-paced animal feeding game where players must stop hungry animals from escaping by launching food at them before they reach the bottom of the screen. The player earns points for every animal successfully fed while trying to avoid losing lives when animals escape. As the game progresses, the challenge increases through faster gameplay and constant enemy spawning, encouraging quick reactions and accuracy. The game includes a complete gameplay loop with scoring, lives, win and lose conditions, audio feedback, and restart functionality.

The project was developed by modifying prototype 2 from Unity Technologies Learn with Code and expanding it into a more complete and polished experience. Additional gameplay systems such as a score manager, life system, UI elements, collision handling, and game states were implemented to improve player interaction and overall game flow. The design focuses on creating a simple but engaging arcade-style experience that is easy to understand while still becoming progressively more challenging over time.
